We will be posting official screenshots from the game in this thread.

Here is the first :) This screenshot should give you a good idea of how the game will look, and should also give you a nice glimpse at some of the enemies, armor and weapons you'll encounter in your journeys. What else can you spot?

In this specific screen, "Likwid" and "tester" are adventuring together in a forest dungeon, getting ready to battle some of the enemies roaming around.

So Likwid, I already noticed a list of things. First, you have 57 K gold. Is that worth too little or did you just hack it all? Secondly, the 3 bars to the right are the experience bar, the health and mana bar. You and your pet have different ones. Many more things:
- The pet shows a little face. Is that an indicator of happiness? Are we gonna have to feed them?
- Is movement going to be spot by spot on the map or a little less robot like (smoother)?
- Are the battles going to be open-air, or pokemon like? If you reach out to those flying eye-balls (which I assume are enemies), are they gonna start attacking you or "invite" you to battle?
- Why are bushes standing out? Do they hide pokemon - I mean, monsters - as well?
- Are we going to have a starter set of armor? Are we going to be able to choose between our starting characters, each with a different set?
- What in hell do we do with hourglasses? Is 500 a normal amount, or did you hack it as well?
- Is there going to be a story line? I already noticed there are quests.
- Are we going to need keys to advance?
- Is the scenario interactive? Do we click the door to open it or do we stand in front of it and press spacebar, for example?
- Is it going to be like minecraft? I see you have an axe and other tools that remind me of the game. By that, I mean, are users going to be able to change the map?
- Can we rotate the screen? I noticed a barely visible door to the right.
- Is each user going to have a personal plot of land, or some place to call home? I see there is a button with a little house on it.
- Is there going to be teleportation, parties or anything that makes knowing other people beneficial?
- What are the green + buttons? Is that some premium service, where keys usually are hard to get but you can pay for them?
- Are there going to be classes? For example, the knight is better at swords, but the magician has more spells, or is everyone going to make the same use out of mana?
- Are there gonna be hot keys for skills?
- Is level 8 good for a player? What is/ is there a level cap?
- Are the pet levels "equivalent" to player levels? If the player is level 8 and the pet as well, is one of them too strong or too weak?
- Can you only have one pet at a time? It does look like so.
- Is there going to be full-screen? I guess it has good enough graphics for it.

.....Whew..that was all. Hope you can give answers to at least some. Don`t even know how I came up with all of that from a single picture :O
Anyways, looks promising!! Loved it already, can`t wait to play :)

Wow, great list of questions. I'll try my best to answer them all:

  • I gave myself that amount of money to test around with
  • The pet has the same bars, but its EXP/HP/Mana isn't the same as mine
  • Yes, that face is your pet's happiness, and yes you must feed your pets. Happy pets are more effective in battle.
  • Movement is nice and smooth. Click to where you want to move, and your player will move there.
  • Battles will be similar to traditional RPG games (Final fantasy, Pokemon). You click on the mob of enemies you want to battle and are taken to a new battle screen.
  • The bushes stand out because they can be interacted with.
  • You will have one user per account and will be able to customize their features at the start of the game.
  • The hour glasses will speed up various tasks in the game, like crafting, repairing, hatching eggs, etc. They aren't needed, but will save you a lot of time if you have them.
  • There will not be an epic story. This is meant to be open ended, with standard quests throughout.
  • Keys are needed to open dungeon doors. You earn keys from battles.
  • Keyboard keys aren't used at this time. Everything is point and click.
  • Yes, we have features similar to Minecraft. You will be able to use tools to customize your plot of land.
  • No, you cannot rotate the screen.
  • You will indeed have your own plot of land. You will also be able to invite friends and visit other friends' plots of land.
  • You can invite friends to your location at any time. They will then teleport to you and you are able to explore dungeons and battle enemies together.
  • Yes, those buttons are to purchase those items, but they are obtained through battle as well.
  • There are no classes. You are given skill points to make your character into whatever you want them to be.
  • There are no hot keys for skills. Right now skills are only used in battle and are easy to pick and choose.
  • We haven't decided on a cap yet.
  • This depends on a lot of factors like your equipment/weapons, your skill points and obviously your pet's stats.
  • Yes, only one pet at a time.
  • No full screen at this time. Unlike most other full-screen flash games, we do not use vector graphics. Flash does not fully support GPU rendering, and therefore running full bitmap graphics at full screen can be slow on older machines.

well hence Gabriel asked some good questions.. here is my list of questions/cricics/suggest as well :)

- when/if you add keyboard controls, well at least for the action bar, it could be something like Space bar+ number key in order to select a group of commands, and then the number keys 1-9 will activate/select the coresponding attack/stance/ability from that certain group. I really hate when come game can offer lots of things and features, but there isn't any keyboard commands. well at leats for me :)
- talking with strangers. If there are groups (like in wow) they can interact with eachoter by using a different command (i remeber in wow it was /p that would made the text in other color and was shown only for the party members)
- World Map? Just the globe from the entire world, on which when you lick on it, the whole flat map is shown on screen. It can be placed somewere below the money bar.
- the "empty" background.. Doesn't it look so much empty? Maybe adding some sort of the LikwidGames website (the previous design) with the water drops on the wall (dark/black theme)

Apart from that, I wouldn't like to question other gameplay related thigns, cause we will all see it when we start to play it :) And now the hero does really look like Mini Hero :) Keep on rocking Likwid!
p.s. it seems that you have 5 clocks bonus :D

I think the background is empty because the islands are floating in mid air. Apart from that, I`d love licking on the world globe.

Will you be able to enchant a few of the basic tools, binding them to arcane powers?

(Arcane Water Pots, here I come! :laugh: )

Though now back to seriousness, this looks AMAZING so far!

What I just absolutely LOVE about your games Likwid is the love for detail you put into the landscape ... I can't seem to find a single, detail-less 2x2 square in that screenshot ... apart from that one top left corner maybe, though I guess the tiles in front of doors should be kept blank or so.

TL;DR keep up the good work with the design (lol)
