1st everybody BBC stands for British Broadcasting Co. and 2nd Robin Hood on BBC is a 3 season show (which is now avalable on DVD) that is about the English legend Robin Hood. I haven't seen the movie so I don't know how different or alike they are.

An FYI if your looking for Robin Hood on DVD check your public library and book stores. The title has an arrow running through the i and the h.
